Few relationships in life are as strong as a brother’s.

Sharing a fraternal bond with one of your best friends is a special gift and the fact that our difference in age is 8 years apart is even more amazing. From skiing in the Sierra Nevadas, to mountain biking throughout the coastal foothills, or bouldering in Joshua Tree; our love for adventure and good times has only strengthened that connection. It comes as no surprise then, when two brothers, one a vineyard manager and one a winemaker decided to make their own wine. This idea, highly debated and pontificated over many a late night bottle of wine was nothing but destiny when it finally came to fruition. Although both had been working in the wine industry for nearly 25 years in the shadows of many vineyards and wineries throughout California, timing was never on their side. Life events, career aspirations, or simple fear, kept getting in the way. It wasn’t until a road trip to Sedona in 2019 that the stars aligned and Unknown Brother Wine Co. was born…..

Our mission is simple: make wines we love to drink, that are sourced from special vineyards.

It’s true that great wine is made in the vineyard, but we also know the importance of a winemaker’s craft to ensure those grapes reach their fullest potential in the bottle. This dichotomy can only be understood by someone with a deep knowledge of viticulture and the winemaking process, only doing what is necessary and never with a heavy hand.
